BBC News, Peer jailed for motorway texting, 25 Feb 09 "Lord Ahmed will serve half of his sentence in jail and half on licence. He was also banned from driving for a year and ordered to pay £500 prosecution costs."

Gary R. Bunt is Professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David; Principal Investigator for the ESRC funded Digital British Islam project; Co-Investigator for the CHANSE funded Digital Islam Across Europe project.
